The Art Gallery at the Orinda Library will open its doors for a free afternoon of abstract paintings, ceramics, and collage on Saturday, August 8, when the Lamorinda Arts Council holds its monthly artist reception.
The event runs from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at 26 Orinda Way in Orinda. No tickets or reservations are required.
The reception is part of a year-round monthly series the LAC organizes at the library gallery, rotating featured artists and themes with each new show. Specific artists for the August exhibit have not been announced. The LAC's event listing describes the work as "various art including abstract paintings, ceramics, and collage."
The gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed Sundays. For exhibit questions, residents can call 925-359-4490 or email [email protected].
