Acalanes High School musicians perform hits from Lady Gaga, ABBA and Raye at the annual Pops concert on Thursday, Oct. 8.
The show starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Acalanes Performing Arts Center, 1200 Pleasant Hill Road, in Lafayette. "Pops is one of our most popular concerts of the year and we intend to pack the house! Please join us to support our talented musicians!" the Acalanes Parents Club said.
No ticket or admission details have been announced publicly. Families can check the Parents Club website or the Acalanes Instrumental Music program's site, which has posted a concert poster, for updates.
Pep Band at home football games
The Acalanes Pep Band also has a busy fall ahead. The band performs at three remaining home football games:

Full performing arts season ahead
The Pops concert opens the 2026–2027 Acalanes performing arts season. The rest of the calendar includes:
- Oct. 21–24: DramaDons' production of Macbeth
- Nov. 18: Fall Jazz Concert
- Dec. 9: Winter Instrumental Concert
- Dec. 10: Winter Choir Concert
- April 21–24, 2027: Spring Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone
The Acalanes Choir and Jazz Ensemble performed at the Lafayette Art and Wine Festival on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20, with choir members taking the Community Stage on Saturday morning and the Jazz Ensemble playing Sunday afternoon.
Next up after the Pops concert: the DramaDons bring Macbeth to the same stage starting Wednesday, Oct. 21.
